Injila's approach to therapy is rooted in building a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients, where they feel safe, heard, and respected. She understands that each client's journey is unique and thus tailors her approach to fit the client's specific needs. Injila believes in providing a non-judgmental and empathetic environment where clients can work through their challenges and achieve their goals.
She believes in empowering her clients to make positive changes in their lives by giving them the necessary tools and strategies to cope with their challenges. Injila also recognizes the importance of cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in therapy. She understands that each individual's cultural background shapes their worldview and experiences, and she works diligently to create a culturally competent environment that promotes healing and growth.
Injila’s educational background consists of Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from The University of Houston and a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas in San Antonio.
Injila has worked with individuals across a wide age range, starting from 6 years old, through adolescence and adulthood. Injila employs a client-centered approach, which means she prioritizes the unique needs and preferences of each client. She utilizes various therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to individual clients, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and more, as needed.
Injila has extensive experience in working with various populations and specializes in addressing issues such as: anxiety, burnout, stress management, career exploration, self-esteem and identity, racial stress and trauma, women's issues, gender identity concerns, relationship and attachment issues.
