Safyah Alam, LPC-A
Safyah graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Master's in Clinical Psychology and has been working in the mental health field since 2016. As a first-generation South Asian American Muslim woman, she understands the unique dynamics of growing up in two worlds. Safyah is committed to being kind, patient, and understanding toward all her clients, regardless of their cultural, religious, and racial identities. Her open and compassionate demeanor helps clients feel comfortable enough to lower the walls they've built and share their stories in a warm, non-judgmental environment.

Safyah works well with adolescents and adults, helping them manage anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship conflicts, and personality disorders. She is passionate about social justice, redefining cultural and gender roles, and being true to oneself without sacrificing integrity and core values. Having grown up as a child of immigrant parents, Safyah understands the struggles of being different, assimilating into a new culture, and striving for a balance between forming one's own identity and staying connected to one's roots. She is dedicated to helping clients become healthier versions of themselves in a safe, welcoming, and warm environment.
