CANS Assessments 

At The Therapy Corner Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, we provide comprehensive CANS assessments designed to identify the emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs and strengths of children and adolescents. Our evaluations are structured and evidence-based, tailored to support effective treatment planning, and provide clinically grounded documentation for families, providers, and community systems.

What to expect from your CANS assessment

Our licensed and CANS-certified clinicians conduct each assessment in accordance with Texas Medicaid and HHSC standards. Each session typically includes:

  • A 60 to 90-minute clinical interview and structured evaluation

  • Delivery of services in-person or via telehealth for client convenience

  • Comprehensive documentation of results, shared with families and authorized agencies

  • Use of assessment findings to inform treatment planning, referrals, or external documentation
