Nicole Abner, LPC-A

Nicole Abner is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), supervised by Khandyce Pinter, LPC-S, who is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She specializes in supporting individuals and families navigating Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), and other neurodivergent and special needs-related concerns.
Nicole specializes in working with clients experiencing social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges that may impact daily functioning at home, school, work, and within the community. She supports clients in developing emotional regulation, social skills, self-confidence, healthy coping strategies, and greater independence. Her approach is personalized and strengths-based, recognizing and building upon each client's unique abilities, needs, and experiences.
In her work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, Nicole emphasizes collaboration and practical skill-building. She works closely with parents and caregivers to provide meaningful strategies that support communication, strengthen family relationships, and address everyday behavioral and emotional challenges. She believes that lasting growth is often strengthened by creating a supportive network around the individual.
Nicole is committed to cultivating a safe, welcoming, and affirming therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and strives to help each client recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and develop the skills needed to experience meaningful growth and greater well-being.
Outside of the therapy room, Nicole enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, exploring new cities and cultures, and serving at her church. These experiences keep her grounded and reinforce her belief in the importance of connection, compassion, and community. She believes that nurturing meaningful relationships and maintaining a healthy balance in life allows her to bring authenticity, empathy, and renewed perspective to her work with clients.
