Immigration Psychological Services

At The Therapy Corner Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, we provide comprehensive mental health assessments, psychotherapy, and psychological documentation for immigration-related legal matters. Our services support individuals involved in detention, waiver applications, hardship claims, and other immigration proceedings. All services are provided by licensed clinicians and may be used in support of legal cases.

While our evaluations and reports are prepared for legal purposes, we do not provide legal advice or legal representation.

Psychological Evaluation Services

Each evaluation includes a comprehensive psychosocial and clinical assessment, which may explore:

  • Presenting mental health symptoms and clinical history

  • Relevant personal, family, and cultural background

  • Trauma history, when applicable

  • Current and past stressors, including immigration-related factors

  • Interpersonal, occupational, and community functioning

All evaluations are conducted exclusively by our Lead Clinician, Brittany Lewis, LPC, and our bilingual Spanish-speaking clinician, Daina Pagan Guzman, LPC, to ensure clinical accuracy, ethical integrity, and consistency in all legal documentation.

Individual Immigration Psychological Assessment

A focused, clinically informed evaluation for individuals requiring a professional psychological assessment in support of immigration-related matters.

What’s Included

  • One comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment session conducted by a licensed clinician

  • Thorough review of mental health history, current functioning, and relevant psychosocial factors

  • Clinical findings, diagnostic impressions, and functional impact summary

  • Evaluation suitable for use in immigration proceedings or related legal contexts

Fee

  • $400 for the assessment session

Additional Information

  • Formal written reports, affidavits, or support letters are available upon request and billed separately

Comprehensive Immigration Psychological Assessment Package

A structured, clinically informed evaluation designed for individuals impacted by immigration proceedings, including detention or ongoing legal matters.

What’s Included

  • Comprehensive biopsychosocial and mental health assessment

  • In-depth clinical interview addressing trauma history, detention experiences, and immigration-related stressors

  • Diagnostic impressions, when clinically indicated

  • Two (2) individual psychotherapy sessions (55–60 minutes each)

  • A brief clinical summary suitable for legal or advocacy purposes

Fee

  • $700 for the full assessment package

Additional Information

  • Court testimony, formal affidavits, or detailed legal reports are not included and may be contracted separately

Immigration Waiver Psychological Evaluation & Report

(Case Dependent)

This service is provided when an attorney requests a psychological evaluation to support an immigration waiver application (e.g., hardship waivers).

Includes

  • Comprehensive psychological and psychosocial assessment

  • Evaluation of emotional hardship, trauma exposure, family separation, and psychological impact

  • Review of relevant background information and collateral documentation, when available

  • A formal written psychological report prepared for legal submission

  • One feedback session with the client to review findings and recommendations

Fee Structure

  • Assessment: $400

  • Written Report: $100 for the first page, plus $50 per additional page

  • Most waiver reports typically range from 5–10 pages

Additional Information

  • Court testimony, affidavits, and depositions are not included and require a separate agreement

Documentation Fees

  • First page: $100

  • Each additional page: $50 per page

Additional Information

The total cost varies based on the length, complexity, and clinical requirements of the documentation prepared.

Expedited Services

Expedited turnaround may be available depending on clinician capacity.

  • Standard delivery time is 5–7 business days.

  • Expedited services (2–3 business days) are available for an additional fee of $150.

  • Rush services (42 hours or less) may be available for an additional fee of $250–$450. Rush availability is not guaranteed and must be confirmed in advance prior to scheduling. Rush requests are subject to clinician capacity and case complexity.

Revision Policy

One (1) round of minor revisions is included within 5–7 days of report delivery.

Minor revisions include:

  • Typographical or formatting corrections

  • Clarifications based on existing clinical findings or records

Substantive changes, including the addition of new information, significant revisions to content, or attorney-requested restructuring of the report, are not included. These are billed separately at a flat fee of $75 per revision round, or at an hourly clinical rate depending on complexity and scope of work.
