Agreement to Terms
By initiating or continuing services with The Therapy Corner Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms govern the provision of all clinical, telehealth, and related administrative services.
Scope of Services
Orivay provides outpatient mental health services, which may include psychotherapy, clinical consultation, assessment, and telehealth services when appropriate.
Services are not intended for emergency or crisis intervention and do not replace inpatient, medical, or emergency psychiatric care.
No specific outcomes are guaranteed as therapy is a collaborative and individualized process.
Therapeutic Relationship
The therapeutic relationship is a professional, voluntary relationship limited to clinical services.
It does not extend beyond the therapeutic context and does not constitute any other type of personal, social, or business relationship.
Either party may discontinue services at any time, subject to the termination terms outlined herein.
Appointments and Attendance
Appointments are scheduled in advance and reserved exclusively for the client.
Clients are expected to attend sessions on time. Late arrivals may result in reduced session time, with the full session fee still applicable.
Repeated cancellations, missed appointments, or failure to attend may result in suspension or termination of services.
Fees and Payment
Clients agree to pay all fees associated with services rendered.
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged in writing. Accepted payment methods will be communicated prior to services beginning.
Outstanding balances must be resolved in a timely manner. Failure to maintain payment obligations may result in suspension or termination of services.
Additional services (e.g., documentation, letters, extended communication, or administrative tasks) may incur additional fees.
Cancellations and No-Shows
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a fee, except in cases of emergency or at the clinician’s discretion.
Telehealth Services
Telehealth services may be delivered via video, phone, or other approved electronic platforms.
By participating in telehealth, you acknowledge and accept:
-
The possibility of technical disruptions or connectivity issues
-
Limitations in clinical assessment due to remote communication
-
Inherent privacy and security risks of electronic transmission
You are responsible for ensuring you are in a private, appropriate setting during telehealth sessions.
Electronic Communication
Electronic communication (including email, text messaging, or similar platforms) is not guaranteed to be secure or confidential.
Such communication may be used only for administrative purposes such as scheduling or cancellations.
Clinical concerns, therapy content, or emergencies must be addressed during sessions or through appropriate emergency services.
Response times for electronic communication are not guaranteed.
Confidentiality
All client information is treated as confidential in accordance with applicable laws and ethical standards.
Confidentiality may only be broken in the following circumstances:
-
Risk of serious harm to self or others
-
Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult

12. Technology and Security Risks
While reasonable precautions are taken to protect confidentiality, electronic communication and telehealth involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
-
Unauthorized access in rare circumstances

Technical failures or service disruptions
-
Reduced ability to fully observe non-verbal communication
By using these services, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

When appropriate, termination will be discussed in advance and referrals to other providers will be offered.
